Tech Wizards Attending 2021 I/ITSEC
DAHLGREN, Va. – Tech Wizards Inc., (TWI) will be attending the 2021 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando, Fla. from Nov. 29 – Dec. 3. TWI will be exhibiting its Virtual Maintenance Trainers (VMTs) in booth #1218.
Tech Wizards’ VMTs are an immersive high fidelity 3D gaming experience designed to simulate current and future training scenarios for tactical training equipment (TTE) and connected systems.
“Over the past few years, Tech Wizards has been developing technology that will revolutionize the way the United States Navy trains its sailors to maintain equipment,” TWI President Ken Clark said ahead of the company’s 16th consecutive year of attendance at the world’s largest modeling, simulation, and training event. “Our VMTs will lower the Navy’s costs and increase the quality and proficiency of training.”
Traditional classroom settings can be replaced because the need to purchase TTE is eliminated with TWI’s VMTs.
The maintenance training software engineered by TWI fully emulates the hardware design, functionality, physical aspects, space layouts, interfaces, interconnections to systems and subsystems, responses to system or component failures and tracking of user actions.
“The VMTs we develop, utilize our sophisticated and advanced state machine technology to track replaceable components down to the wire and pin to allow for repeatability, reusability, and eliminate training bottlenecks,” said TWI Director of Technology Kenny Allwine. “Based on fleet feedback, the VMTs are able to provide future training scenarios.”
These true-to-life advanced virtual learning environments enable students to perform more sets and repetitions during training and instructors to manage larger class sizes.
TWI’s VMTs are a modern, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based solution with customizable built-in scenarios and a Free Play mode capability. They are no cost per-seat and lightweight in maintenance, making them portable and scalable – anytime and anywhere. TWI’s high performance, secure, and stable VMTs can be quickly adapted to real-world changes.
