Tech Wizards Establishes Virtual Presence in Second Life

Tech Wizards now has a new home in the virtual world. Tech Wizards has recently created an island in Second Life in order to demonstrate their virtual world capabilities developed for the Open Simulator virtual world prototype. Currently, Tech Wizards' Second Life island has a virtual meeting room and auditorium complete with PowerPoint support, YouTube viewer, and group document editor. A virtual PDA for registering with the COAST (CAST Open Architecture Suite) Learning Management System is also available along with a tour of the meeting areas to demonstrate interacting with a SCORM course in the virtual world.
Tech Wizards was awarded a 1 year sub-contract from Wyle Aerospace Group to provide system and software engineering services to the NAVAIR PMA-231 Program Support Activity (PSA). Tech Wizards will provide its system and software engineering expertise to assist in the technology refresh of the E-2C satellite communications (SATCOM) system.
Tech Wizards Expands Corporate Headquarters

Tech Wizards headquarters was relocated to 17002 Dahlgren Road, King George, VA 22485 to support the continued growth of the company. The state of the art facility hosts computer labs, conference areas, engineering and managerial spaces, and a visitors computing area.
Tech Wizards Awarded U.S. Air Force Tasking

Tech Wizards was awarded tasking from the United States Air Force to provide open-source based training product integration and to develop tactical operations virtual world based lessons. The operations related lessons will provide enlisted personnel an enhanced training experience and further promote warefighter readiness.
Tech Wizards Demonstrates SCORM based Virtual World Technology at I/TSEC

Tech Wizards demonstrated its Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) based, Virtual World technology at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando. I/ITSEC promotes cooperation among the Armed Services, Industry, Academia and various Government agencies in pursuit of improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues and development of multiservice programs. Tech Wizards continues to provide innovation to the industry and providing technology to reduce cost, risk, and increase performance.
